Wish I was in Bangkok but due to financial and time factor, I guess staying home with my family to watch the game LIVE on TV in the comfort of my home is the next best option.

Incredibly, Singapore won the AFC! When Khairul Amri smashed a swerving shot into the top corner of the net, I could hear the whole neighbourhood shoting GOAL! I think the whole of Singapore must be watching this match last night hehe. It was pure determination by the Lions to crawl back after falling behind.

I had been following this tournament very closely and when the whistle was blown for the kick off, I was very relaxed, even when Sharil's goal was disallowed I was not worried that was how confident I am of this Singapore Team. As expected the Thais would be on an all out attack and after sometime, they scored, still I was relaxed, in my heart I know that the Lions can score in this game because I have seen how the did it lots of time.

In the second half with my chilled green tea in my hand thanks to POKKA (haha! promo nampak) I sat down to watch how the Lions calmly yet surely hold their ground like knowing they will surely get a goal in this final match. Business as usual, the fast Khairul dribbled the ball from the third quater nearing the box, no pressure from the defenders (this time I was feeling something special is going to happen), right after he entered the penalty box, Khairul gave a full swing with his legs and the ball just flew into the net, the Thai keeper just stood there with his hand on his head in disbelief (by this time, the neighboorhood was crazy with people shouting GOAL! outside of their windows like me haha!) Singapore came back and the host were silenced. From then I knew the CUP was ours! AGAIN! Wahaha!

This morning, I did something I did as a ritual since the AFC started, go to 7-11 and get the newspapers before it's sold out. Read all the articles and I'm damn proud to be a Singaporean and doubly damn proud of the LIONS! Only football is the game of the people. Other sports are just... sports. I hope, the S-League will also bring the crowds in because we must not forget that this cup winning LIONS, they are from the S-League! Which means that the S-League is one of the best league in the region, why don't you just drop by to your nearest stadium and find out which local team is representing your neighbourhood and give them your support!

As for me, it's back to Choa Chu Kang stadium! The home of the Warriors! SAFFC that is, what's your?
